Let yourself be alone with your thoughts from time to time.

Don’t be afraid of inner silence. It’s good for you. I know I flood my senses with media all the time and forget to do this. I often can’t even eat without turning on Netflix or listening to a podcast. When I’m not doing that, I’m usually blabbing on and on in my own head about something that the day holds. It’s a defense mechanism. It keeps things going so I don’t have to be alone with my thoughts.

Once you let go and allow for some silence, it’s a freeing experience. Try it.
