I’ve been thinking a lot about how desire usually only results in more desire. It’s like a drug. We get addicted to the idea of a “successful life” and can never get enough. Sure it feels good to get that rush, but it’s not true happiness. People who achieve high amounts of wealth and fame rarely are content. Many the most famous people eventually turn to low-profile projects of passion. I think it’s important to let go of these attachments and desires. Many of us start off loving something (like art) and then getting blinded by the idea of becoming famous artist or going viral. I’ve been there for sure. It’s not fun and you lose sight of why you started doing all this in the first place. You loved something. The big difference between loving how you live and living to make a life is that you will never achieve the latter. However, you can live your dream life today. You just need to look back to your roots a little bit. What is it you love to do? Maybe that’s how you need to live.
