Reader Portraits: Julie Ann - “Hi! My name is Julie Ann. I love theatre, photography, and food. I will waste an entire day in bed if it’s rainy out. I “take pleasure in perversion and embrace bad taste.” Life hasn’t been very kind to me lately but I always try to find the silver lining. I make robot (R2D2 in particular) sounds when I’m thinking too hard. I love your website and it always brightens my day! That’s me and my dog, Pickles!”

Reader Portraits: Sara - “My name is Sara, and in my heart I am Iowan although I have been living in Washington state for about eight years. I am notoriously bad at walking anywhere in a timely fashion because I stop to take photos of graffiti, street stickers and murals. Paired with my best friend, we will take 20 minutes to walk one block in the right neighborhood. I miss fireflies and thunderstorms. When I leave Washington, I’ll miss mountains and extremely available espresso drinks.”

Reader Portraits: Natalie - “I have this thing with my eyes, where they’re really light blue; but the outside of the iris, is almost black. They also go from being, light blue to turquoise to green, depending on the mood. I am colour blind, in each eye. Left eye is green/yellow tinted and the right eye is rosy tinted. I have the one dimple, just the one on the left, as seen really. Lastly, I can only write with my right hand, most other things I do, I can only do left handed such as guitar.”
